I have two of these Westinghouse units and am happyMay 14, 2009 I have owned two of these units since fall 07 and so far they have been great. The picture quality especially in HD is excellent. I saved a lot compared to big-name units of the size and it was worth it (less so today since prices seem to have converged). I am only writing because the recent posts seem to be very negative but that was not my experience.
I do not doubt the posts here and would recommend that one buy an extended warranty from a third party with this set, just in case. Indeed, it may be better to buy one refurbished so that the Westinghouse warranty period is short lived (90 days) and another warranty company kicks in earlier. I bought mine online from eCost refurbished (and saw nothing wrong with them as arrived) but added the warranty for two years. I did this again last month with a slightly newer Westinghouse model, as a gift for a relative, and added the SquareTrade warranty for not much extra. Buying it that way is very cheap and relatively safe. Assuming they survive the first 90 days, you will never have to deal with Westinghouse customer service which people here say is bad. But the product itself seems good for the price. If this is the only way one can afford breaking into LCD and HD TVs, at a really cheap cost via refurbished, then go for it. One final caveat for any brand: do not accept delivery until you have seen it work. Make the shipper see you plug it in before signing. At least with eCost, the box itself says that, so it was easy to talk the UPS guy into waiting a minute. I had a small UHF antenna (all you need is a cheap one, even for HD) -- or have cable good to go -- just to check.

Poor Quality, Bad ServiceFeb 07, 2009 Like a lot of people I've been reading about, I started having problems with my Westinghouse LCD television only a few months after purchasing it. Unfortunately, my problems are sporadic and, not noticing them when viewing cable television, I assumed that this problem was caused by the other input source I used on it (a video game console). I had that unit serviced twice, and by the time I realized that the problem was with the television and not the input source, the unit was out of warranty by about 3 months. Despite having documentation to show that my problems began only a few months after buying their product, their customer disservice department basically told me I was up poop creek. I guess it was crazy of me to expect a $600 television to work properly for a whole year and a half. Thanks for nothing, Westinghouse! Next time, I'll go with Toshiba or Samsung, and I would encourage anyone else to do the same.
Pros
Lots of inputs, is still semi-functional a whole 15 months after purchase.
Cons
Discolored static on areas of uniform color (esp. white and red), framerate drops (bad for gaming), customer service is unresponsive and will allegedly make you pay out of your own pocket for any service they grudgingly provide, other customers have reported sets going dead entirely.

best $7500 I ever spendedJan 16, 2009 I was diggin in the backyard and found my grandpappys old war bonds buries in the dirt and was wondering what to do with the moneys. I could save for my childrens colledge fund or this awsome deal on a new technology lcd tv so that I can view my tv shows after the dtv thingy that happens soon, I am very glad I chose this tv. now I know the govement has run out of money for the coupon to get a new tv or something, but they can keep it now. I wish the tv were wider so I could put my budweiser on top of it like my old tv.

Awful TV and Horrible Customer SupportJan 03, 2009 Bought this TV and had problems right from the beginning to the point that is was unviewable. Westinghouse then replaced it with a refurbished TV (unbeknown to me since I was told they were replacing with a new unit) that arrived with problems. The refurbished unit also was of lesser quality even when new. The customer support people are nice enough however they do nothing for you. I will never buy another Westinghouse anything after this ordeal.

Displays black and gray details in shades of redDec 09, 2008 We purchased this LTV32W3 TV 18 months ago and it worked great until it started to display black and gray details in shades of red. This problem would come and go randomly and started to happen more and more often. The problem occurred on any input channel such as coax, composite, and HDMI. It also occurred from any source such as antenna, Cable, VCR, and DVD. I'm an electrical engineer, so I tried everything that I could to resolve this issue, but nothing helped so I emailed Westinghouse service.
Westinghouse service was helpful and offered to exchange the unit, provided that I send the unit to them in CA at a cost of $42. I didn't have any other options, so I sent the TV in on 04Oct2008, and they estimated that a replacement TV would be sent in 3-4 weeks. This is where things got irritating.
I spent the remainder of October and November calling Westinghouse for a status update and expected delivery. Their call center does not have any of this data, and said they were emailing someone in the warehouse, but no responses were ever received. The call center supervisor (Vivian) was pleasant and returned my calls, but she was not able to offer additional information either, although she was also emailing someone in the warehouse. Maybe her influence did speed up the process, I don't know.
I just received a refurbished SK32h240S on 01Dec2008, 8 weeks after sending the orginal discontinued TV in. I'm dissappointed that it took this long. I'm not thrilled that it's a refurbished unit and that it only has a 90 day warranty. I'm also concerned about the reliablity of this TV after reading it's reviews.
I am personally telling my friends and family to stay away from these smaller non-reputable brands.
